Yes. The BroadLink RM4 Pro is a Wi-Fi IR and RF universal remote hub listed as compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT. It can control TVs, air conditioners, curtains and other devices from your phone or by voice. Alexa has been officially available in the UAE since 2021, in English and Khaleeji Arabic.
Will a Livolo or Luxion remote work with any light switch?+
No. These remotes pair only with matching receivers. Luxion RF433 touch remotes and key fobs work exclusively with Luxion RF433 touch light switches. Livolo Zigbee EC remotes and glass panels, such as the VL-XR006, work only with Livolo Zigbee EC devices and need the Livolo Zigbee EC Hub.
Do self-powered wireless remote switches need batteries or wiring?+
No. The Luxion Self-Powered Wireless Remote Control Switches, in 1, 2 and 3 gang versions, use 433 MHz kinetic technology and generate their own power when pressed. They pair with the Luxion kinetic relay, which is fitted on the lighting circuit. Any fixed wiring for the relay should be done by a qualified electrician following DEWA, ADDC/AADC or SEWA rules.
Can I add a glass touch remote panel without rewiring my wall?+
Yes. Wireless panels such as the Livolo EC Glass Touch Remote Control Panel in 1 or 2 gang control Livolo Zigbee EC switches without new cables, and they require the Zigbee EC hub. This suits rented apartments, where structural changes usually need written landlord approval under the Ejari tenancy contract.
Which remotes are available for curtain motors and blinds?+
