What track lengths are available for motorised curtain kits?+
Luxion Wi-Fi curtain track kits come in 2.2 m, 3.2 m, 4.2 m, 5.2 m, 6.2 m and 7.2 m lengths, each with motor, metal track, remote control and accessories. Somfy offers the Movelite 35 RTS kit with an adjustable 2.2–4 m track, and Orvibo has a 2 m centre-opening (theatre-style) kit.
Do I need a hub to control Luxion curtain kits from my phone?+
No. Luxion curtain track kits connect over Wi-Fi and are controlled through the Tuya / Smart Life app with no hub needed. They can also be operated by the included remote control or a Luxion curtain switch, and the LX-CM01 and LX-CM02 motors support scheduling.
Is there a motorised curtain option that doesn't need mains wiring?+
Yes. The Somfy Movelite 35 RTS kit runs on a rechargeable battery and is designed for curtains up to 20 kg. It includes the adjustable 2.2–4 m track, remote control and fixings.
Can I mount the curtain track on the wall instead of the ceiling?+
Yes. Luxion sells single (LX-BRACKET) and double (LX-2BRACKET) wall mounting brackets for its motorised curtain tracks, for rooms where ceiling installation isn't possible. The brackets are sold separately from the track kits.
Who should connect a mains-powered curtain motor in the UAE?+
Any connection to fixed wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician following your local authority rules, such as DEWA, ADDC/AADC or SEWA. Tenants should also check their tenancy contract, as landlord approval is typically required for alterations.
Can I replace a lost remote for a Luxion curtain motor?+
Yes. The Luxion LX-RM63 remote control is available separately and operates the Luxion LX-CM01 and LX-CM02 electric curtain motors.
