Actuators

Shop smart thermal actuators in Dubai & UAE. Easy to install, they work with hubs and thermostats to automate heating zones for extra comfort at home.

Actuators: frequently asked questions

What does a thermal actuator do?+

A thermoelectric (thermal) actuator sits on a manifold or thermostatic valve and opens or closes it on command from a thermostat or control unit. This regulates water flow to each zone, for example in underfloor heating or other hydronic systems.

What is the difference between normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO) actuators?+

A normally closed actuator keeps the valve shut when unpowered and opens it when the thermostat calls for flow. A normally open actuator does the opposite. Most BeOk models here are NC; the BeOk RZ-AN230-NO is the normally open option, with a matching RZ-AN230-NC version.

Why are there several BeOk actuator models?+

The BeOk RZ-D07, RZ-DF, RZ-BV, RZ-AW, RZ-AG, RZ-AV and RZ-AN series are offered to suit different manifold and valve fittings. Check the thread or adapter of your existing valves against the product details before ordering.

Do these actuators run on mains voltage?+

The model codes ending in 230 indicate 230 V versions, which matches the nominal 230 V / 50 Hz supply used in the UAE. Confirm the voltage your thermostat or control unit outputs before choosing a model.

Can I install an actuator myself?+

Fitting the actuator head to a valve is mechanical, but connecting it to fixed wiring or a thermostat should be done by a qualified electrician following local authority rules (DEWA, ADDC/AADC or SEWA). Tenants should also get the landlord's written approval before making modifications.

Where are orders shipped from?+

SmartHomes.ae ships orders from the EU (Romania) by DHL Express, with delivery to all seven emirates. Live prices in AED are shown on each product listing.

A thermal actuator is a small device that makes your home more comfortable by controlling heating zones automatically. It receives commands from automation devices such as smart hubs or thermostats and then adjusts according to the parameters you have set. For example, thermal actuators can regulate temperature based on the signals received from your thermostat.

Actuators are all about comfort and convenience, and they are a key building block of a truly smart home. Our range of thermal actuators is designed to be simple to install, adding automation and comfort to your property.

  • Check compatibility with your existing thermostat, hub or smart-home ecosystem.
  • Confirm the fitting matches your valves or manifold.
  • Plan one actuator per zone you want to control independently.
