Product details

The Livolo single-phase soft-start relay is a device that dampens the sudden surge of current at the moment a load is switched on. It is useful for light sources, underfloor heating, thermostats and more.

For example, LED lamp manufacturers typically economise on components. As a result, when switched on, for 50-100 microseconds the lamps draw a current of approximately 50-70A. This sudden start-up can cause various problems. This device reduces the current to an acceptable level of 5A.

Wiring Diagram

The relay connects between a Livolo thermostat and a servomotor. The thermostat is wired to neutral (N), live (L) and its output terminal; the relay switches live to the servomotor.

  • Neutral (N) to the thermostat N terminal and relay terminal A2
  • Live (L) to the thermostat L terminal and relay terminal L1
  • Thermostat output terminal to relay terminal A1
  • Relay terminal T1 to the servomotor
